Data-Retention Policy
Default retention rules and customer-configurable compliance periods.
1. Active accounts
Service records remain available while an account is active, subject to the retention period configured for each grease trap or interceptor. Customers are responsible for choosing a period that reflects their local requirements and business needs.
2. Audit and billing records
Security audit events and billing records may be retained longer than operational content when reasonably necessary for security, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
3. Backups
Encrypted production backups may retain deleted data for a limited rolling period until overwritten. Backups are restricted to restoration and incident-recovery purposes and are not used as an active customer archive.
4. Legal holds
Deletion and automated retention actions are suspended for content subject to a documented legal hold, preservation duty, fraud investigation, or unresolved payment dispute.
5. Customer exports
Customers should create and securely retain exports before deleting records or terminating an account when independent archival copies are required.
