Security Incident and Breach-Response Procedure
The operational procedure followed for suspected or confirmed security incidents.
1. Report
Security reports are acknowledged through the configured security-contact address. Reports should include affected URLs, timestamps, reproduction details, and a safe contact method. Do not access or retain data beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue.
2. Triage and containment
The response team records the incident, assigns severity, preserves relevant evidence, limits access, rotates credentials or tokens when needed, and contains affected systems.
3. Investigation
The team determines affected systems, organizations, data types, time period, root cause, and whether unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure occurred.
4. Notification
Affected customers and authorities are notified according to applicable law and contract. Notifications are based on verified facts and updated as material information becomes available.
5. Recovery and review
Systems are restored from trusted sources, corrective actions are tested, monitoring is increased, and a post-incident review documents root cause, lessons, and prevention measures.
